Oraclequirks gets its space in SQL Developer

Always check out the original article at http://www.oraclequirks.com for latest comments, fixes and updates.

You may not know it, but i am a frequent reader of my own blog ;-)
So, it was good news when i found out today that i could easily perform instant searches on Oraclequirks straight from within Oracle SQL Developer (tested on version 1.2.1 on Mac OS X and Windows, but I'm going to test it soon on the early adopter version 1.5 that you can download from the SQL Developer Home page).

And you can do it too: all you need is this zip archive containing a couple of files that you must extract into the directory located in:
../sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/searchengines
where ".." clearly depends on the location where you extracted the original SQL developer zip archive.

From now on, you can put your ORA-XXXXX code or whatever string you want to look up into the upper right search box (after selecting Oraclequirks of course) and you will be teletransported to the relevant page(s) on Oraclequirks, if any.
